ABOUT PROTEIN & ENERGY(the lie & truth)

Updated: Aug 7, 2020

Time to share what I learned so far!

Let's talk about protein, which I label as "energy" as well.

Did you know protein gives your body four calories of ENERGY for each gram of protein, which is equal to the calories you'll get from carbs, while fats give you nine calories for every gram you eat?

Q: So how do you get protein?

Meat-eaters would say they get protein from meat. Meat from cows, pigs, chickens. However, those non-human animals are just "middle-mans" because going back to what I learned in my freshman year in high school during living environment, ALL energy comes from PLANTS in which they get their energy by photosynthesis. In the plant world, that is what they "eat" to convert that to energy.

Animals that eat plants are all herbivores and they get that energy directly from plants. In other words, those non-human animals that meat-eaters eat are getting the least amount of energy in the food chain because the animals that you eat absorbed the energy that they got from plants while you take half of the energy that the animal absorbed.

ree

You are basically not getting enough protein.

The average plant eaters get 70% MORE protein than they need while meat-eaters get half of their protein.

Crazy right?

Many people have been fooled by the idea that eating meat gives you strength which was state HYPOTHESIZED by a famous German chemist named Justus Von Liebig. His belief was so widely accepted that they even inspired the USDA's FIRST protein recommendation.

By the time scientists proved this false, it was too late because the majority of the people basically "brainwashed" us all. It was found that the hard-working working muscles run primarily on the carbohydrates we find in plants.

Where do I get this information?

DOCUMENTARIES!!!!!

I personally get bored from reading a buuunch of words, but thanks to documentaries, I am able to learn attentively! If you don't like reading a bunch of words, I recommend watching documentaries. Just search up on YouTube "vegan documentaries" and there will be AT LEAST 1 that will interest you. If you'd like, please do share some of what YOU learned as well down in the comments OR send me an email! There is no right or wrong answer and don't worry, my blog is a friendly community for all people.
